Linktip: 7 Secrets of a Time Revolutionary
Coming from: Crawdaddy Cove
“I am married and have four small children. My wife works full-time during the week, and so do I. My job keeps me busy from Monday through Friday, from about 8am to 6pm (which is not enough time to accomplish all I want to accomplish at work), and my weekends are devoted entirely to my kids. Taking a cue from Richard Koch’s book, The 80/20 Principle, I have become a “time revolutionary” in order to fit into my life everything I want to fit in, while remaining a visible and involved parent and a visible and involved manager at the office. Here are seven of the unconventional and eccentric uses of time I have found useful (I’ll publish seven more later this week):
1. Wake up early
2. Work at home
3. Cram all of your meetings with others (your boss, your staff, etc.) into two days.
Announce to your staff – and your colleagues – that your door will be closed …
5. Go for a run or head to the gym during your lunch break.
6. Get creative in your use of weekends.
7. Schedule your weekend time. “
